(weighing in):

"It's not such a good thing to show plus-size because it's not really physically healthy and not always flattering to fashion." garance dore

dear garance,

your recent comments above are laughable. certainly you understand that a size 10 to 14 woman that the fashion industry has labelled as "plus size" (re: normal) is by no means unhealthy and certainly not more so than the emaciated figures that march down the runways each season. furthermore, i'd like to thank you for perpetuating the unrealistic ideals that many women in our society face. as a size 8 woman and dedicated follower of fashion, i argue that i can don a runway look just as well as any size 0 or 2 out there. fashion is about how you enterpret the current styles to suit your personality and yes, your body. this may, at times, be easier for a less curvacious woman (or man) but it is in no way unflattering to fashion, which is (usually) a celebration of personal style and creativity.

perhaps you are attempting to create buzz ahead of the launch of your and scott's new television show. or maybe you're just shallow. either way, you're wrong.

Love, jac
