hope y'all are having a good day today.

it's snowing here in toronto. if you made it to work/school this morning without slipping, i commend you. i am not one of these people.

i got to thinking as i walked in to work, venti in hand (yep, one of those days). have you ever thought about those everyday people; the ones that you see often, that you appreciate without knowing? for me, it's anthony, the writer who lives in my building who i see almost every morning en route to starbs. we always exchange knowing smiles and energetic waves. even at my most tired our non-interaction puts a little spring in my step. then the boys at starbucks. i don't know their names, but they sure know my order, and smirk when i upgrade to a venti... one of THOSE days! there's the ttc attendant at rosedale station, the mailman who delivers in our building and lets be honest, the woman at the takeout counter at swiss. i don't know any of them, but they all make my day a little brighter.
