(love): scrapbooks

i've been making scrapbooks, or "nothing" books as i used to call them, since i was in middle school. in 10 years i've made amassed a bookshelf of memories, neatly collected over hundreds of pages. i see this blog as the next step in my scrapbook making; an online collection of the "peaces" of my life. i love this excerpt from Lula magazine on scrapbooks - i couldn't have said it better myself:

"scrapbooks are home to the life-soup of ideas, revealing the raw and unedited inner-workings of the artist's mind. Nostalgic and romantic, innocent and chaotic - the scrapbook has the power to encompass all these qualities and more. In a scrapbook collage there's none of the glaring pressure of a blank canvas. Within it's safe perimeters there are no mistakes - you can cut-and-paste comfortably in imperfection. whatever the mind sees and the hand creates, goes."
love.
