the original inspiration for peaces has requested a post. below is my photographic attempt at explaining the different ways to wear a scarf. and if i don't do the job, the lovely ladies at whowhatwear (♥) are here to help.i really love wearing scarves in the summer with a tank top, jeans and a pair of flops. and lucky for me the mediocre toronto summers lend themselves nicely to this look. when its warm out, this is my favourite way to wear a scarf. a long, rectangular one is best - just wrap it kinda tightly around your neck and let the ends hang loose. this scarf is from club monaco mens but i also have a couple of good cotton ones from american apparel.i also really like the comfort of a big scarf around my neck. this zebra one is from club monaco, again. although the fabric pulls quite a bit, it's wonderfully soft and is the perfect length to wrap around twice. then i tie what's left of the ends and tuck them under.this is probably the most effortless way to wear a scarf, and works with most shapes. this one, from gee beauty, is my favourite scarf. its a large square that i fold in half (into a triangle) and wrap loosely around my neck just once.i usually keep this one in my bag when i'm not wearing it. it's a great alternative to a sweater on a chilly summer evening or an over airconditioned office.hope this inspires, love.
