people have been talking about it for ages, but American Vogue really isn't as good as it used to be. more and more i'm finding it hard to relate to the articles, let alone find any interest in them at all. to me it feels like there is just very little variance from one issue to the next. and i'm sorry, but blake lively is no fashion icon, i don't care what you think, anna wintour.
anyway, yesterday i saw these neato images that show the last 12 issues of vogue layered on top of each other, revealing the cookie-cutter format that the mag uses for it's cover design. interestingly, if you look at the layers of french and italian vogue, they almost look like works of art; much darker and more visually interesting.
now that carine is leaving french vogue, i do hope emmanuelle or whoever is named as her successor can keep up the amazingness that magazine has become!
